I will have to admit upfront that I’m not exactly the biggest fan of Dolce & Gabbana sneakers. The tacky logos are to blame; more often than not either giant Dolce & Gabbana letters are written all over or a metal eyelet is firmly planted on the shoes. That’s why I was quite pleasantly surprised today when I laid my eyes on this bad boy, and for the first time in years I actually want to take Dolce & Gabbana sneakers home with me. Color-blocking in fashion is as old as the hills, but making it work on shoes especially men shoes is an entirely different story. Domenico and Stefano (or whoever actually designed the shoe) absolutely nail it here. 7 different colors, which run the gamut from white, tan, orange to green to name just a few, were incorporated. The shoe also features a quirky fur trim to the ankle (which gives it a more luxurious look and feel though I personally could do without it) and bad-ass ridged rubber sole (which I can’t love enough). To top it off, the non-obstrusive logo detailing to the side is such a welcoming change. The shoe is a full-blown fashion statement in and of itself, so just team it with your well-fitting pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt of shirt and you’re all set. DOLCE & GABBANA lace-up trainer is available on Farfetch for $475. Happy splurging!
