Big Red Alert, Again: The search for the next face of Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Fragrance Campaign 2020 is officially over. Move over, David Gandy. You’re being replaced by a much younger thus fresher face in the modeling industry. He’s The Confused Dasher.
HAHAHA. Alright, enough with my perverse fantasy. I was just about to throw up all over myself typing such outrageous thoughts. Me replacing David Gandy in anything? Well, that would only happen when planet Earth suddenly turned square. (Sorry for the lame comparison. I have been reading a little bit too much about science and geology of late.) I do have a confession to make, though. I did feel a strong Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue moment in the photo. The alluring translucent blue water (in Cinque Terre, part of the Italian Riviera where I was vacationing) conjured up images of Capri, the actual setting of the campaign. Plus, the striped Club Monaco shorts I got probably two years ago in New York certainly reminded me of Dolce & Gabbana men’s collections in the recent years. The 64 millions dollar question I’m having right now is had I substituted the shorts for a skimpy pair of white swimming trunks and taken my shirt off, would I have succeeded in channeling the inner David Gandy in me and felt an even stronger Light Blue moment?
On me: AllSaints Granddad Collar Denim Shirt and Club Monaco Shorts.
