Video of the Week #3: Kenzo Fall/Winter 2013 Ad Campaign

kenzo-fw13-campaign-insects-single_webHave you seen the new Fall/Winter 2013 Advertising Campaign from Kenzo? I have, and it’s easily one of the whackiest yet most original campaigns I’ve laid my eyes on this season.  The ad features Greek-god Sean O’pry and Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi. (Remember her from the movie Babel? She looks utterly different now.) At first glance, I thought Ken and Barbie were doing Chinese acupuncture. LOL. A closer inspection revealed that the needles actually aren’t being injected on their bodies, but placed on the rear of their clothes. Or maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me again. Either way, mad props for Kenzo for coming up with an ad that captures the brand’s cool and youthful vibe well. I dig!

Update: The behind-the-scene video just released by Kenzo confirms my eyes weren’t playing tricks. 5 diopters near-sightedness ain’t that bad, huh?
