Milan Men RTW Fall 2013 Fashion week closed yesterday, and there was no other place that I wish I would have been in more than Milano over the weekend. Sure, there are live streaming and photos of the shows everywhere, but I don’t think these can hold a candle next to, you know, frantically running from shows to shows, then frantically looking for your assigned seat in the dimly lit lights among a sea of people and finally viewing with your own eyes the models strutting down the glossy runaway in designers’ beautiful numbers with the added bonus of some beautiful underground indie music. Seriously, my heart just skipped a beat at these mere thoughts. Anyway, Milan looks very strong across the board this season. I’m especially smitten with the ranges of bold colors and subtle hues, though black is still obviously predominant. Here are my personal favorite looks in each collection, after going through about 1000 pictures. Now, I’m off to Paris…in spirit.
Dolce & Gabbana
Burberry: I can’t choose any single look because everything is just perfect in every sense, from the silhouette to colors. So, click HERE to view the show for yourself (spoiler alert: the music is too good). I think I’m falling harder and harder for Burberry, especially after I read THIS article about Christopher Bailey, who is a man of talent, hard work, charisma and modesty.
